      The Moravian College Rabindranath Tagore Distinguished Lecture Series

      The Moravian College Rabindranath Tagore Distinguished Lecture Series presents Tagore and Gandhi: Light in the midst of Darkness Presented by G.K. Gandhi.  Gopalkrishna Gandhi (G.K. Gandhi) is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer and diplomat, who was the 22nd Governor of West Bengal serving from 2004 to 2009. He also happens to be the grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. Mr. Gandhi currently teaches at Ashoka University, where he is a Professor of History and Politics. As an academic, G.K. Gandhi has written a number of well-received works on Gandhi as well as Nehru. He has also written a number of plays and translated Vikram Seth’s novel A Suitable Boy into Hindi.  Mr. Gandhi served as India’s ambassador to Norway and Iceland in 2002. This event is free and open to the public. Parking available under the Hill-to-Hill bridge.
