Interfaith Dialogue: Christians, Jews & Muslims Talking Together

3 “Traditional Faiths” In Dialogue With Today’s “Nones” The Christian-Muslim dialogue series is co-sponsored by the Muslim-based Respect Graduate School, Moravian Seminary, Lehigh Dialogue Center, and Lehigh Conference of Churches. The Fall Series opens our 13th year of Inter-Faith Dialogue. More Americans are answering “NONE” when asked for their religious identities. Why? What’s happening now? What may this mean for the future of “Traditional Religions” and for society? Our Fall Dialogue series seeks to be a frank discussion among persons who are “Nones” and who identify as Jews, Christians, and Muslims with projections for areas of contrast, change, and cooperation. Wednesday, October 16, Session 1: Dinner (Halal, Dietary Observant) No presentation. Getting acquainted. Wednesday, October 23, Session 2: The Situation: Focus On Present Developments Wednesday, October 30, Session 3: The Nones Speak For Themselves – Spiritual but not Religious; Humanist, not Theist Wednesday, November 6, Session 4: Three Traditions Respond Wednesday, November 13, Session 5: After Listening – Looking To The Future The series is coordinated by Rev. Dr. WALTER WAGNER, adjunct faculty at Respect Graduate School and Moravian Seminary and MUHAMMAD SAID SELMANLAR, President of the Lehigh Dialogue Center.
